Introduction
The Confucius Temple (Fuzimiao) and Qinhuai River area is the historical and cultural heart of Nanjing. The Qinhuai River waterfront is lined with Ming and Qing-style buildings housing restaurants, shops, and tea houses. At night, the area is illuminated by lanterns, and visitors can take a painted boat cruise along the river, experiencing the romantic atmosphere celebrated in countless Chinese poems.
