Introduction

Baofeng Lake is located in Zhangjiajie and is a pristine alpine lake surrounded by sandstone peaks. Visitors take a boat cruise on the emerald-green lake while listening to traditional Tujia folk songs sung by local performers from the shore. The lake is particularly beautiful in the morning when mist rises from the water. The surrounding area features waterfalls, including the Baofeng Waterfall, which cascades down a 70 m cliff.
