Introduction

Lion Grove Garden is a Yuan Dynasty classical garden in Suzhou, famous for its labyrinthine rockery of Taihu Lake stones, which are said to resemble lions. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Emperor Qianlong visited and was so impressed that he had a replica built at the Chengde Mountain Resort. The garden's winding rock maze, elegant pavilions, and serene water features make it one of Suzhou's most distinctive gardens.
