Introduction

The Chen Clan Ancestral Hall (Chen Clan Academy) is located in Guangzhou and is a masterpiece of Lingnan architecture. Built in 1894, it served as both an ancestral hall for the Chen family and an academy for clan members. The complex is renowned for its exquisite decorations — wood carvings, stone carvings, brick carvings, pottery sculptures, and iron castings adorn every surface. It now houses the Guangdong Folk Arts Museum.
