Suzhou

Suzhou is located in southeastern Jiangsu Province and is one of China's most celebrated historical and cultural cities, known as 'Paradise on Earth' and the 'Venice of the East.' Suzhou is world-famous for its classical gardens — nine of them, including the Humble Administrator's Garden, Lingering Garden, and Lion Grove Garden, are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The old town is crisscrossed by canals and stone bridges, with Pingjiang Road and Shantang Street preserving the charm of old Suzhou. Suzhou is also the center of China's silk and embroidery traditions, and is renowned for Kunqu Opera and Pingtan storytelling.
