Introduction

The Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, commonly known as the Panda Base, is located in the Chenghua District of Chengdu and is a world-renowned institution for panda conservation and research. Spanning approximately 247 hectares, the base is home to over 200 pandas, making it the largest artificially bred panda population in the world. Visitors can observe the pandas up close in enclosures that mimic their natural habitats, and the baby pandas in the nursery are especially adorable. It's recommended to visit between 8 and 9 in the morning when the pandas are most active and feeding.
