Introduction

Du Fu Thatched Cottage is located in Chengdu and was the residence of the great Tang Dynasty poet Du Fu during his stay in Chengdu (759–765 AD). It was here that he wrote over 240 poems, including some of his most famous works. The current complex is a beautiful classical garden and museum dedicated to Du Fu's life and poetry, featuring bamboo groves, lotus ponds, and thatched pavilions. It is a pilgrimage site for lovers of Chinese literature.
