Badaling Great Wall
Introduction
Badaling Great Wall is the most visited and best-preserved section of the Great Wall, located in Yanqing District, Beijing. Built during the Ming Dynasty, it was the first section opened to tourists in 1957. The wall here is wide enough for five horses to walk abreast, with watchtowers at regular intervals. The views of the wall snaking across the mountain ridges are spectacular. It is easily accessible from Beijing and features a cable car for those who prefer not to climb.
