Bird's Nest / Water Cube
Introduction
The Bird's Nest (National Stadium) and Water Cube (National Aquatics Center) are the iconic venues of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, located in the Olympic Green. The Bird's Nest, with its distinctive steel lattice design, is a masterpiece of modern architecture and hosts major sporting events and concerts. The Water Cube, with its bubble-like ETFE membrane exterior, now houses a water park. Both structures are spectacular when illuminated at night.
