Introduction

Lingyin Temple is located at the foot of Lingyin Mountain in Hangzhou and is one of China's most important and wealthiest Buddhist temples. Founded in 328 AD, it has a history of nearly 1,700 years. The temple complex features grand halls with magnificent Buddha statues, including a 24.8 m camphor wood statue of Sakyamuni in the Main Hall. The adjacent Feilai Feng (Peak That Flew Hither) features over 340 Buddhist stone carvings dating from the 10th to 14th centuries.
