Introduction

Huaqing Palace (Huaqing Pool) is located at the foot of Lishan Mountain in Xi'an. It has been a famous hot spring resort for over 3,000 years, most famously associated with the Tang Dynasty — it was the bathing place of Imperial Consort Yang Guifei, one of China's legendary beauties. The site also includes the Five-Room Hall where Chiang Kai-shek stayed during the Xi'an Incident of 1936. The evening performance 'The Song of Everlasting Sorrow' is a spectacular outdoor show.
